Firewatch Review: A Mysterious Adventure Game
Firewatch is an adventure game developed by Campo Santo and is available on Nintendo Switch. The game is set in Shoshone National Forest in Wyoming in 1989, where players take on the role of a fire lookout named Henry. The game revolves around investigating strange occurrences that Henry experiences while exploring the forest. As the game progresses, players will have the opportunity to explore more areas of the forest, with their progress affecting the accessibility of distant game areas.
One of the unique features of Firewatch is the mechanics of choice within the dialogue. Players can choose between different optional phrases that reflect on Henry’s relations with his supervisor, Delilah. The game also includes puzzles that players need to solve to progress, in addition to Henry’s personal experiences that he tries to uncover while wandering in the forest. The game’s beautiful graphics and tough atmosphere of loneliness make it a must-play for adventure game enthusiasts.
